Mallorca

Base: Alcudia

On the island's north coast, Alcudia is one of cycling's historic bases in Mallorca — Europe's busiest winter training destination for professional teams for more than thirty years.

Mallorca has hosted the pre-season training camps of the biggest World Tour teams since the 1990s. The Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and its legendary Sa Calobra road have seen entire generations of champions pass through.

The Playground

The professional peloton's busiest island.

From Alcudia, the Serra de Tramuntana and its coastal roads offer a complete range of terrain, from fast, gently rolling roads to technical ascents like Sa Calobra.

Sa Calobra (Coll dels Reis)

Mallorca's most famous ascent, with its knot-shaped hairpin — about an hour's drive from Alcudia.

Coll de Femenia

A steady climb at the heart of the Tramuntana, less busy than Sa Calobra.

Puig Major (approach)

The approach to the island's highest peak, with exceptional views over the north coast.

About an hour's drive from Alcudia. This switchback road, built in the 1930s, has become the island's most photographed ascent — a must-do on any cycling trip to Mallorca.
