Costa Blanca

Base: Calpe

At the foot of the Ifach rock, Calpe has for nearly twenty years been the favourite winter base camp of the biggest WorldTour teams — a mild climate, varied terrain, and roads now legendary among professionals.

Since the mid-2000s, the Costa Blanca has hosted the winter training camps of numerous professional teams every year, drawn by the mild climate and the quality of the road network. The Coll de Rates, in particular, has become a benchmark timed test for generations of professional riders.
